Vivienne Jeon
Viviana Hayeong Jeon is a South Korean artist based in London, exploring the heterogeneous emotions and ontological conditions of contemporary life through tactile processes, materiality, and digital translation.
Rooted in Eastern philosophy and feminist theory, Jeon investigates vulnerability, fragmentation, and the layered structure of hybrid identity. She embraces vulnerability as an existential condition shaped by emotional complexity and perceptual instability. Rather than idealising coherence or rationality, she seeks an artistic language that holds space for rupture, distortion, and the unresolved. Through tactile, abstract forms and recursive digital processes, she develops a materiality that reflects the affective density of contemporary life—where perception, memory, and emotional intensity intersect and blur.
Working with clay, glaze, silicone, digital scans, and fabric, she creates works that oscillate between the physical and the virtual, holding space for emotional residue and hybrid states of being.
