Deep Food
Deep Food is ‘food for thought’, a creative duo that experiments with food-based creations as a form of critical and speculative practice, as well as through community art programmes. Revolving around cross-disciplinary, participatory and playful projects, Deep Food constantly leverages interactive edible experiences to probe new possibilities and make cultural inquiries.
Sometimes, Deep Food explores explainable AI for empathy by staging futuristic, data-driven dinners; at other times, the duo transforms local fishery heritage into immersive performances blending experimental recipes, music and dance.
Deep Food has exhibited its work on platforms such as the London Design Festival, Dutch Design Week and the Design Museum of Hong Kong Design Centre, and has been commissioned by a range of major art and cultural institutions in Hong Kong. The team has been supported by the UAL Creative Business Accelerator and the Design Incubation Programme in Hong Kong. Deep Food is now beginning to expand its practice in London.
