Yuhe Luo is a Chinese artist and textile designer who graduated from the Royal College of Art with a Master's degree in Textile Design. Her practice spans textiles, biomaterials, lampworked glass, and metalwork, drawing on an interdisciplinary approach that bridges craft, material experimentation, and contemporary art.

This work reinterprets glass weaving techniques through the use of colored glass materials with different melting points. During firing, these differences create cracks, fractures, and unpredictable textures. The broken glass is then reassembled, allowing the work to develop through cycles of destruction and reconstruction that echo the transformation of memory.

The flowers are made from secondary red glass materials that become partially transparent and partially red after firing. By varying the amount of red within each flower, the artist conveys the gradual shift of memory from bloom to decay.

The work exists as a frozen fragment of memory.

The flowers symbolize both the blossoming and fading of remembrance, while the fragmented and reconnected glass surfaces become traces left behind by time.
